Hayden has been volunteering at the local wildlife refuge for just over a month now. He is really enjoying it, and the long walks thru the refuge to check his Bluebird boxes are good for all of us (with the exception of ticks!). We have Western and Mtn. Bluebirds in our area, and his boxes were pretty full... each with it's new nest and some with eggs. The birds are usually flying around their territory while we check, and are so beautiful. I'm looking foward to seeing all the babies!
Today we had a picnic, and laughed together A LOT. ~smile~ I love going quiet places with my children where I can just watch them interact with eachother, and enjoy them. We have so much to talk about. There are many different wet land areas, Hayden's boxes aren't very close to them, but we hope to get a closer view at the birds there next time.
