Mary Anne!! My children loved this book! We learned a lot about construction vehicles, forms of water, drawing motion with chalk (outside in the street, what fun!), watched steam shovels on YouTube, personification and steam power. The book has a very interesting history, we added some news articles into our scrapbook. I love using unit studies, we can move at our own pace and add things we want to experience as the day goes.
