At the lake... again...

Yesterday we were at the lake, doing the usual- renting canoes and paddle boats, taking turns on the jet ski. I decided to have Hayden take me out in the canoe to the areas of the lake he paddles to most often. It was like being in a whole other world! Tons of wildlife, turtles swimming by and poking their little heads out at us. Muskrat, Canada Geese right next to our canoe and lots of different birds. I was hoping to see the Heron who makes his home in the reeds. Hayden is just so full of life when he is in his element, and being in that swampy area of the lake was definitely his element! He knows so much about all the animals that I just sat, let him steer us, and listened. What a blessing to have a son like him.
