Is that how you say it in "hill billy"? I'm trying to sound like my husband here. I am so tired! My allergies are flaring up due to the guinea pig I just *had* to surprise Hayden with. On the way home from the pet store my eyes were almost swollen shut and I had a blister forming on the left cornea. Those are almost completely healed today, but I'm still headache-y and sneezing like crazy. I love the guinea pigs, but I don't usually handle them as they are the only animal (that we know of) I'm allergic to!
I really miss my honey today. Only 30- or so days left.
The kiddos are doing G-R-E-A-T! I am so blessed! Trey has made great gains in the past month, and Sara is doing pretty durn good herself. I'm so proud of them! Yesterday I took them all out to eat at "Hu Hot", a Mongolian grill. 90$ dollars later... I felt better about not spending time with them while I'm sick, but worse in the wallet. Ugh. It was a good time, a cultural experience. ~snort~
Hayden is working on his cartoons again... I love when he goes thru this phase. This latest one is called "Super Square". One of these days I'll hook up our scanner and post one. He's been playing so much with the little ones, and building up deep bonds with them. He is going to be, hands down, the BEST Daddy!
Kori's violin has been out of tune for about 6 months ~blush~ so I finally took it in and had it tuned, and a string replaced. We also fixed the 3/4 violin. Now she is at it again 24/7 and I love it! Trey is hoping to rent a 1/4 violin and start taking lessons from Kori. I really think he'll pick it up as easy as she has.
Kristianna and Kori have been doing some "mother's helper" work again, and loving it. The lady they work for regularly is so sweet, she pays them well and cleans with them, singing praise and worship. They like her so much, they'd do it for the fun! I'm impressed that my girls have such great housekeeping skills that they are in demand.
Linnea received a gift in the mail today, from her bio. sister. She was so happy to have her own little collection of "Bath and Body Works" lotions and bath sprays. Linnea got her ears pierced in October (it's our rule they must wait until they are 10), and will be so thrilled with the sweet earrings we bought her for Christmas!
and Kyla is still hungry... after a meal of thick, yummy cheesy rice with cauliflower and a big, fat oatmeal cookie. She's never satisfied.
We are in the waiting process to see if we are selected to adopt a sweet 10yo girl from the state. She's been on the photolisting since Sept., and Nick said I could finally call about her. She's darling. She won't come without her baggage, but I'm ready and willing to help her unload it all... Hopefully we will know more by the end of the year.
All in all, God is good. In the "good" times and the "bad". He is in the midst of it all. He preordains our every moments with His love and care, and I am so thankful to know Him.
