Little Sara in bed, she has trouble winding down at night and MUST go to bed before the other girls. She needs that time or no one will be sleeping! She's been carrying this list of words around the house lately, and I didn't think to ask her what it's for since all my children started off reading/ writing with "lists". Tonight I found her in bed with a Leap phonics game and her list. She is writing down the words she learns, and using her list to help her play the game. What a smart girl!
Sara is just newly 7, and not yet reading. I don't care when my children begin to read, as I find they do it in their own time. but Trey is reading very well, and it frustrates Sara (well, she IS 2 months older than he!). However, we've had Trey a lot longer, and she has had much neglect in her first 5.5 years of life. She'll catch up to him, when she's ready. ~smile~
