Insect Boy

Trey is happy, happy, happy now that the bugs are out in full force! This morning he came to me upset because he couldn't catch a Swallowtail butterfly that was teasing him. We've raised butterflies, ladybugs, worms, tadpoles, ants, tried our hand at silk worms (they all died) and Button Quail. Do Sea Monkeys count? *snicker* I'm hoping to do at least tadpoles and some type of chick this summer. We are using an awesome book for reference called "Flying Creatures of the Fifth Day" published by Apologia science. The past few years have really opened my eyes to the wonders of God's creation right outside our door. We stop often to "smell the roses" (literally) and look up at the sky. Which reminds me... I need to go look at this website I just found: www.space.com

Trey found a unique moth yesterday morning. I'm not quite sure what it was, but I made him hold it up for pictures. He complied... well, sort of...
