Isn't he dreamy? ~smile~ He's having so much fun volunteering at the refuge! So am I, the last couple of times I was able to view my "grand-birdies". Although he has one nesting box that we had to throw 4 dead babies out, and one that was taken over by Tree Swallows (which lay pink eggs).
On our drive out to the refuge last week we spotted an Osprey. I've never seen one of these before and had to pull over and snap some photos. It was amazing! Looks like he has a female in the nest behind his roost. We also saw a Great Blue Heron, one of the most beautiful birds I've ever seen. The wing span was incredible! I tried to snap a photo but my camera battery had died, so I'm pasting one here off the net. My boy is teaching me so much about enjoying nature.
